For the 2025 model year, the Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban have undergone major changes. These popular large SUVs showcase redesigned exteriors as well as a handful of exciting interior updates that freshen up the cabin and make them even more appealing.
Design updates
The exterior design updates for the 2025 Suburban and 2025 Tahoe start with new signature lighting and a bolder front fascia. Z71 models offer a touch more with a special high-approach front fascia and skid plates to protect the underbody of the SUV. Both SUVs are also available in two new colors this year: Lakeshore Blue Metallic and Cypress Gray.
Inside these Chevy SUVs are tech-focused cabins that highlight how future-forward they are, with amenities like a large 17.7-inch freeform infotainment screen that’s tilted toward the driver slightly and an 11-inch driver information center behind the steering wheel. Additional interior highlights include available materials like authentic wood, wingtip perforated leather, and Piano Black and Galvano chrome trimming.

Performance upgrades
In addition to looking good, the new Suburban and Tahoe also perform outstandingly well. As the two largest SUVs in the Chevy lineup, power is to be expected.
Chevrolet has introduced the second-generation 3.0-liter inline-six turbo-diesel Duramax engine that gets 10 percent more horsepower (305 hp) and 7.6 percent more torque (495 lb-ft) than the previous iteration. This optional engine joins the standard 5.3-liter gas V8 and the 6.2-liter gas V8 that is standard on High Country trims.
The new Tahoe and Suburban are the ideal combination of brains and brawn. When it comes to towing, these SUVs offer the Max Trailering package that helps you manage what you’re hauling with confidence and peace of mind. Enhanced features that are available include Trailer Tire Health, Forward Path Indication, Boat Ramp Assist, Trailer Navigation, and Mobile Trailering App Load Rating Info.

Smart safety systems
A large infotainment screen isn’t the only tech upgrade for the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban. These family SUVs are equipped with the new Interior Motion Detection, which alerts you if there are movements in the cabin when the vehicle is parked and turned off.
Connected Cameras is another new feature that lets you keep an eye on your new Suburban or Tahoe at all times. This network of cameras lets you remotely view the interior and the exterior (with a 360-view) via the myChevrolet app.
Just a handful of other standard and available safety features on the Tahoe and Suburban include Teen Driver, HD Surround Vision, IntelliBeam, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, and Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology.

Smooth ride
Whether you’re heading out on a road trip or just taking the kids to school, everyone enjoys a smooth ride. Always improving, Chevy updated the multilink independent rear suspension design for a more refined ride. Returning for the 2025 model year are available amenities like the Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and Magnetic Ride Control.
The Air Ride Adaptive Suspension (available on High Country and Z71, and for the first time on RST) can change the height of the SUV for entry and exit as well as when you’re heading off-road for the best possible ground clearance.
Magnetic Ride Control uses sensors to scan the road and adapt by altering the damping rate of the shocks to help reduce vibrations, which are often hard to ignore in a large SUV.

Interior utility
Much like the 2024 models, the 2025 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe will offer three rows of seating. This means you’ll have room for up to eight people between these rows, with the ability to adjust the cabin as needed for hauling large items.
